PEB English Medium School, Sargodha was started in 2002 with one classroom and five students. At present there are 11 classrooms with a capacity for 275 students (and there is a waiting list of students seeking enrolment). In spite of very limited facilities, student response to the creative and interactive teaching has given the school an outstanding reputation. In 2006, when enrollment was 163, Dorothy Jane Hanson (mother of Renee Neff-Clark, member of Second Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Missouri) provided funding for two more classrooms. The school continued to grow and developed a greater reputation so four new classrooms were built with funds provided by Barbara Gattermeir (also a member of the Second Presbyterian Church).
PEB`s long-range plan is that outstanding English Medium schools will provide income to help fund the rural schools that serve the poorest families, helping to bring together a sustainable PEB system.
